Directed by filmmaker Luke Brookner (co-founder of Sticker Studios) and co-written by Alex Horlock and Eytan Smith, we raised over £20,000 - and cashed in every favour we had banked over the years - to get this film made.

Luke was living with me at the time of my father’s death so we naturally had a special bond. When I saw his short film, Home, a story about the impact of childhood grief, I was inspired to create a short film about my own experience of losing a loved one to suicide.

To ensure the film’s authenticity, we conducted several focus groups featuring people who had been directly bereaved by suicide and those who had attempted to take their own lives.

Once the script was written, we recruited producer Chloe Shaw and got to work planning the shoot.

Starring actor Harry Cadby, Heirlooms explores the generational impact of suicide. It takes viewers on a deeply moving journey of grief, love and redemption, shining a light on the possibility of breaking the cycle through seeking support. Heirlooms brings a message of hope to those struggling with suicide loss.

The film was created in partnership with charity Suicide&Co, one of a handful of charities supporting those who have been bereaved by suicide. It premiered on 12 February 2025 at The Curzon cinema in Soho, London. West Ham United FC shared Heirlooms across their social media channels with the aim of getting as much exposure as possible and has since had over a million views across all platforms. Heirlooms won The Drum’s “Ad of the Day” on 13th February 2025.
